Coalition Solidarity Statement
with One Korea L.A. Forum
One Korea L.A. Forum works for the
Peaceful Re-unification of the Korean Peninsula. At One Korea L.A.'s 4th
Anniversary Celebration on Friday April 1, 2005 the ANSWER Coalition
presented the following statement. At the celebration One Korea L.A.
Forum presented to ANSWER - L.A. a solidarity award for "Its ceaseless
support and solidarity for a peaceful reunification of Korea."
The A.N.S.W.E.R. Coalition (Act Now to Stop War & End Racism) extends it
warmest and deepest solidarity with One Korea LA Forum on your 4th
Anniversary. It is an honor to struggle with you, shoulder to shoulder
and hand in hand, for peace and justice in Korea and everywhere. We look
forward to continuing and deepening our friendship with you in the
coming months and years.
The struggle for one Korea is a just cause for Korea is one. We stand
with you in your fight for peaceful re-unification. We will continue to
do everything we can here in the US to aid you in your efforts. We join
with you in opposing all US aggression towards Korea.
We stand with you against the Bush Administration's threats against
Korea. The US warmongers seek to keep Korea divided by any means
necessary. They continue to speak of a war in Korea. The White House and
the Pentagon threaten the whole world with their massive arsenal of
weapons of mass destruction. We must defeat the dangerous Bush agenda in
Korea and everywhere.
The ANSWER Coalition will continue to mobilize with you for peace in
Korea. We seek to unite with all people against war, racism and all
forms of oppression. We are also with the people of Iraq, Palestine,
Haiti, Afghanistan, Venezuela, Cuba, the Philippines, Iran, Syria &
everywhere as they seek a path independent of US domination.
People everywhere need the US out of their economies and societies.
There can be no self-determination for any people as long as there are
foreign troops in their homeland. All US troops must leave Korea. The
cause of peace all around the world demands that US troops come home
now. Peace and justice loving people everywhere stand with Korea and
against US militarism in Korea and all of Asia.
The people of the world look to Korea. The long and militant struggle of
the Korean people against domination is a shining beacon of the
determination of humanity to live in peace and dignity. The Korean
people have suffered occupation, exploitation, separation and war. In
Korea, the peace movement, the labor movement, the re-unification
movement and more give the multi-national US anti-war movement much
hope. Korea has shown the world that the unity of people fighting for
what's right can win great victories. From the fight against Japanese
and US imperialism to bringing the South Korean troops home from Iraq
and onward to self-determination and re-unification, we are with you.
Two Koreas, no! One Korea, yes!
